Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She's professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name could be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from musicians and music blogs as well as the media. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs have been widely praised. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano at her loft, where she was fascinated by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to take up music as an interest or career. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Her sources include renowned writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. When she was told by her mother that her songs can assist her in gaining popularity, but also help people see the importance of their music on the planet and realise the potential of them, she decided to begin performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was only six and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. It wasn't known to her family that she had begun until fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. As she says, she just enjoys writing songs. To her, music is one of the most efficient ways for expressing anything.
